Ghana’s hospitality tag is being further deepened with the adoption of the Handy Smartphone device.
The device serves as a hospitality guide while providing data and voice calls to visitors.
Some16 hoteliers in Ghana have already signed up on to the Handy Smartphone which offers innovative services that enriches visitor experience with free connectivity, features and curated guides in and around the hotel.
The device is the first of its kind in Africa and it provides enormous benefits to both the travelers and partner hotels.
The West Africa regional manager of Handy, Kell Bakoko tells Starr Business, the Device will offer more convenience to tourist and business persons who come into the country.
“When people go into new cities, the first concern is how to get back online and we know in our part of the world information is scattered everywhere. It is difficult to find where to get anything you want but with Handy we aggregate all of that.
“So, on our handy device we tell you where to eat where to shop etc. We make your stay stress-free,” says Bakoko.
Handy is not only focused on helping hotel guests, it is also focused on how to make all hotels which partner with it to increase revenue and stay ahead of competition by providing services that enrich visitor experience.
Handy is the brain child of Tink Labs Limited, one of Hong Kong’s most successful startups that revolutionize travel and tourism.
The device, first launched in September 2012, helping travelers meet their unlimited demand for Internet connection services in and outside the hotel room and at the same time serving as a tailored travel guide for tourists and integrating with hotel services.
Currently, handy is available in Accra, covering over 1,000 hotel rooms and over 200,000 hotels rooms worldwide.
The company has plans of covering the whole country by next year.
